Josh, a multifaceted artist with a rich and varied background, has cultivated a unique artistic journey deeply rooted in his love for nature and a keen awareness of human impact on each other and the environment. Growing up, Josh's curiosity and active lifestyle, encompassing activities like hiking, archery, skateboarding, cycling, whitewater rafting, kayaking, and grappling sports, significantly influenced his creative pursuits. His connection with the outdoors is evident in the subject matter of his art, where the natural world often takes center stage.

At around 15 or 16, Josh discovered a passion for tattooing, initially drawn to the styles seen in tattoo magazines. This newfound interest profoundly influenced his drawing and painting styles. His involvement with tattooing deepened over time. Starting as a 'shop help' at a local tattoo shop, in 2010, Josh's dedication and enthusiasm led him to an apprenticeship, where he immersed himself in learning the intricacies of tattoo artistry. He gained valuable insights into sterilization, proper tattoo procedures, and was inspired by the works of American traditional tattooists like Norman Keith Collins, Bob Wicks, and Bert Grimm. Josh's artistic repertoire also expanded to include Eastern iconography, with Tibetan motifs and Japanese irezumi shaping his style.
In addition to tattooing, Josh has explored various other crafts, including upholstery sewing, wood carving, and working with leather, though tattooing remained his primary passion. More recently, his creative interests have extended into the digital realm. He has embraced web-based design and development, 3D modeling with softwares like Blender, and has ventured into the metaverse, creating assets for virtual experiences. This digital exploration has offered him new ways to share his art and broaden his perspective on art's possibilities.
